Mahindra to invest 1,500 Cr for their new U321 MPV
Mahindra and Mahindra has told correspondents that their new U321 MPV, which is as of now a work in progress, will be created at the Nashik plant.
The brand’s up and coming offering is supposed to be a premium MPV that will offer close by contenders like the Renault Lodgy and Toyota’s tremendously mainstream Innova Crysta. On account of this, Mahindra is to spend Rs 1500 crore to spruce up their Nashik and Igatpuri plants. This is so that vehicle production capacities at the Nashik office can be updated while the assembling and supply of motors can be knock up at the Igatpuri plant.
The Mahindra U321 MPV was spied in mid-2016, and is accepted to get the same 1.99-liter diesel engine that powers the XUV500. This engine, which produces 140bhp and 320Nm of torque, might be mated to a similar six-speed manual and six-speed programmed transmission that is found on the XUV500.
Mahindra is yet to affirm when the U321 MPV will be launched, in any case, sources guarantee that it could hit showrooms in the last quarter of 2017 or mid 2018.
